Wild Shut Out By Stars Tuesday Night
The Minnesota Wild could not manage much offense Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars in a 4-0 loss.
The Wild were outshot 36-18 in the loss.
Dallas held a 2-0 lead after a first period in which they outshot the Wild 12-3 thanks to goals by Vernon Fiddler and Erik Cole.
Ray Whitney scored the only goal of the second period on a power play to make the score 3-0, then Jordie Benn closed out the scoring for Dallas in the third period for the 4-0 win.
The Wild are now 27-20-5 and will host the Chicago Blackhawks at Xcel Energy Center on Thursday night.
