The Tech Tiger volleyball team was taken down to the wire but ultimately emerged as winners against Big Lake 3-2 (25-14, 25-15, 20-25, 24-26, 15-8). The Tigers will play against Sartell Friday night at 7 p.m. at Sartell High School.

The Brainerd Warriors held off the Apollo Eagles 48-35 Tuesday night in Brainerd. The Eagles' season ends with a 1-8 record. The Warriors will take on Sartell on Saturday, and that game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON.

At halftime the score was Little Falls 0 and Rocori 20. Going into the second half Little falls wanted to get their offense going on all cylinders and to get their defense holding Rocori. For the Rocori Spartans they just wanted to keep doing what they have been doing all game and that is play smart football. Even though the weather played a factor earlier in the game.

The Rocori Spartans host the Little Falls Flyers Tuesday night in Cold Spring in the first round of the 8AAAA playoffs. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with the pregame show at 6:35.

Another college football game has been scheduled at Target Field, just a week after officials announced the St. John's Unviersity-St. Thomas University game to be played there next year.
The St. John's football team routed Gustavus in St. Peter 56-10 today. The Johnnies rolled up 437 yards of total offense led by Ben Alvord with 221 yards and 3 touchdowns. Evan Clark led the Johnnies with 4 catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.
St. Cloud State Football lost 29-28 at Northern State today. The Huskies led 21-20 at halftime but Northern State surged ahead in the 3rd quarter with a 26-yard field goal late in the 3rd from Nathan Shaw.
