The Huskies lost the game at Michigan State 62-49 but gained an unforgettable experience. The Big Ten network can be seen on Charter on channel 425, on HD channel 822 and on Direct TV channel 610.

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Southwest Baptist 86-59 Monday night to finish 2-0 in exhibition games. Joe Coleman led 4 players in double figures with 15 points, Rodney Williams added 13 and Andre Hollins added 12 points. Trevor Mbakwe played 11 minutes and scored 3 points for Minnesota.

Gopher Women’s Basketball Tops MSU-Mankato

The Gopher women's basketball team defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 66-56 Sunday afternoon at Williams Arena. Minnesota was led by Rachel Banham with 20 points and Micaella Riche added 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Gophers. Minnesota shot 47 percent from the field while Mankato shot 31 percent.

SCSU Men’s Basketball Falls at Michigan State

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team lost 62-49 at Michigan State Friday night in an exhibition game. SCSU trailed 33-26 at halftime and couldn't catch up in the 2nd half. The Huskies were led by Connor Neihaus with 10 points. All 13 players on the SCSU roster played including Tom Izzo's nephew Kevin Levandowski who played 15 minutes for SCSU and had 3 points.

Gophers Win Exhibition Game Against MSU-Mankato

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 81-56 Thursday night in an exhibition game. Joe Coleman was the lone Gopher in double figures with 21 points while Austin Hollins added 9 points and both Maurice Walker and Rodney Williams added 8 points. Trevor Mbakwe added 4 points in 11 minutes for Minnesota.

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team gets a chance to play an exhibition game at Michigan State against Tom Izzo and the Spartans Friday night at 7:30. The reason why the game came about is that St. Cloud State guard Kevin Levandowski's uncle is Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo. This game was in the works for 2 years and has now become a reality.

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team is picked to finish 4th in the NSIC preseason coaches poll. SCSU was 20-9 overall in 2011-2012 and 15-7 in the NSIC. Winona State is picked to win the conference title followed by Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State-Mankato. The SCSU men's basketball team returns key contributors points guard Shaun Jensen and center Tim Bergstrasser.

The Gopher men's basketball team will play Duke on Thanksgiving Day on November 22 in the quarterfinals at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The Gophers last played Duke in 1989 in the sweet sixteen round of the NCAA tournament. Minnesota lost that game.
