May 7, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team swept Augustana 3-2 and 11-1 in 7 innings Sunday to grab the #2 seed in the upcoming NSIC tournament. Nick Maiers threw 7 innings with 7 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win. Garrett Fischer went 2-3 in game 1 for the Huskies. SCSU improves to 42-10.
May 3, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team downed Upper Iowa in Fayette, Iowa Wednesday afternoon twice 9-1 and 10-5. In game 1 SCSU was led by Garrett Fischer going 4-4 with 4 runs scored and 1 RBI and Logan Birr threw 6 innings with 5 hits and 1 earned run to get the win for SCSU. Birr sets a school record for wins in the season with 9.
May 3, 2012 The St. John's baseball team completed a 2-game sweep of Macalester Wednesday afternoon. The Johnnies won game 1 7-2 before winning game 2 2-1. Luke Larson and Josh Groth each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs in game 1. Connor Cline threw 6 innings with 1 hit and 1 unearned run allowed to get the win. He struckout 8.
May 1, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team defeated St. John's 10-5 at Joe Faber Field Monday night. SCSU scored 3 runs in the 5th inning, added 2 in the 6th and scored 2 more in the 7th. Nick Maiers threw 6 innings with 8 hits and 5 earned runs allowed to get the win. Steve Rindelaub went 3-3 with a run scored and 3 RBIs and Brian Hansen went 2-4 with 2 RBIs for the Huskies.
April 30, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team won a pair of games against Minnesota-Crookston 7-0 and 18-0 Sunday afternoon. SCSU won both games against MN-Crookston Friday too. SCSU allowed a total of 5 hits in the 2 games Sunday. Kyle Fischer threw 7 shutout innings with 4 hits allowed and 5 strikeouts to get the win for the Huskies. Brian Hansen had 2 hits, 2 runs and 3 RBIs in game 1 for SCSU. In game two Phil Imholte was 2-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs and Garrett Fischer was 2-3 with 3 RBIs for the Huskies.
April 26, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team scored a combined 37 runs and had 39 hits in their doubleheader sweep of Northern State Wednesday. SCSU won game 1 16-2 and won game 2 21-12. Joey Peters had a homerun and 3 RBIs and Brian Hansen had 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs in game 1 for SCSU.
April 25, 2012 The St. John's Baseball team won a pair of games against St. Olaf Tuesday afternoon 3-1 and 4-0. Luke Larson hit a solo homerun and Hayden Zimmerman threw all 7 innings with 3 hits and 0 earned runs allowed to get the win. Max Forster, Billy Gregg, and Aaron Plaff had 1 hit and 1 RBI and Connor Cline threw 6 shutout innings for the Johnnies. St. John's is 22-10 overall and 10-4 in the MIAC.
April 24, 2012 The University of Minnesota introduced Norwood Teague as their new Athletic Director at a press conference Monday afternoon. Teague has spent the last 6 years as the Athletic Director at Virginia Commonwealth. Teague will make a base salary of $400,000 which is on the low end of Big Ten Athletic Directors. He replaces the retiring Joel Maturi and will start July 1.

(Joey Benke was 2-3 with a run scored for SCSU. The Huskies are 29-10 overall and 14-6 in the NSIC)
April 23, 2012 The St. Cloud State baseball team completed a sweep of Concordia-St. Paul Sunday. SCSU won game 1 8-4 by scoring 5 runs in the 6th inning to surge ahead. Joey Althoff had a 2-run single for the Huskies in the 6th inning. St. Cloud State won 6-5 in extra innings in game 2. Joey Benke went 3-4 with a run scored in game 2 for SCSU. St. Cloud State had 13 hits in game 2.
