The St. John's baseball team defeated St. Mary's 4-2 Saturday in the MIAC tournament to advance to the MIAC tournament championship. The Johnnies were led Dylan Graves with 4 hits and 1 run scored and Justin Thompson with 2 hits, 1 run scored and 1 RBI. Ryan Spengler threw 7 innings with 2 runs allowed to get the win.

MSU-Mankato Tops SCSU Twice To Win NSIC Title

Minnesota State-Mankato beat St. Cloud State 9-7 and 11-6 Saturday to win the NSIC baseball tournament title in Mankato. St. Cloud State had beaten Mankato earlier in the tournament 3-2 and was in the drivers seat but lost back to back games to the Mavericks. Garrett Fischer had 3 hits and Sean Borman had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Huskies in game 2.

Johnnie Baseball Wins MIAC Tournament Game

The St. John's baseball team defeated Bethel 7-3 in their opening game of the MIAC tournament in Minnetonka. Dylan Graves had 2 hits, 2 runs scored a homerun and 4 RBIs for the Johnnies. Hayden Zimmerman threw 8 innings with 3 earned runs allowed to get the win for St. John's.

SCSU Baseball Going to NSIC Championship

The St. Cloud State baseball team defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 3-2 Friday to advance to the NSIC championship. SCSU scored 2 first inning runs and held on to win. Mike Jurgella was 2-3 with 1 RBI and both Joey Benke and Brian Hansen had 2 hits apiece and 1 run scored. Scott Leiser threw 7 innings with 6 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win. MSU-Mankato defeated Augustana 10-1 to advance to the championship to play SCSU again.

The St. Cloud State baseball team is 2-0 in the NSIC tournament after beating Winona State 3-2 Thursday night. Shawn Riesgraf threw 8 innings with 8 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win and improve to 9-1 this season. Joey Benke was 3-4 with 2 RBIs and Garrett Fischer was 3-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI for the Huskies.

The St. Cloud State baseball team downed Augustana 6-4 Wednesday afternoon in Mankato in their first game of the NSIC tournament. Logan Birr threw 6 innings with 6 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to get the win. Birr notched 11 strikeouts. Travis Cariveau was 2-5 with a run scored and 3 RBIs and Garrett Fischer was 2-4 with 2 runs scored for the Huskies.

St. Cloud Rox To Reveal New Jersey On Monday

The St. Cloud Rox will reveal their new jerseys home and away on Monday at the public event at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Cloud at 5:30. The event is free and open the public. The Rox will also make home and away jersey available for purchase. The Rox will sell season tickets at the event as well.

SCSU Baseball In NSIC Tournament Today

The St. Cloud State baseball team will play Augustana today at noon in the first game of the NSIC tournament in Mankato. The Huskies are seeded #2 with Augustana seeded #5. If SCSU wins today they will play at 7pm Thursday night. The tournament is double elimination and will continue through Saturday. MSU-Mankato is the #1 seed and will play 6th seeded Minnesota-Duluth tonight at 7pm.

Rox Single Game Tickets Go On Sale Saturday

The St. Cloud Rox are putting single game tickets on sale Saturday May 12 at 9am at the St. Cloud Rox ticket office on the west end of the MAC, on their website at StCloudRox.com, or by calling 240-9798. Fans will be able to select the exact seat they want online and print their tickets out at home. The St. Cloud Rox begin the 2012 season at Duluth on May 30 and will play their home opener June 2.

SCSU Baseball Sweeps Augustana; St. John’s Rained Out

The St. Cloud State baseball team swept Augustana 3-2 and 11-1 in 7 innings Sunday to grab the #2 seed in the upcoming NSIC tournament. Nick Maiers threw 7 innings with 7 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win. Garrett Fischer went 2-3 in game 1 for the Huskies. SCSU improves to 42-10.
