St. Cloud Rox Sign 8 Including Henkemeyer
The St. Cloud Rox signed 8 more players to play for the team this summer. Among the 8 is outfielder Andy Henkemeyer from Sauk Rapids. Henkemeyer is playing his college baseball for the Gophers. He was the Most Valuable River Bat last season in St. Cloud. He is joined by outfielder Boo Vasquez from the University of Pittsburg, catcher Adam Martin from Western Carolina, outfielder Jamie Simpson from Eastern Michigan and pitchers Paul Schaak of Eastern Michigan, Alex Roberts of Newberry College, Sergio Luna of Cal-State L.A. and Adam Maxon of Jacksonville University.

Johnnie Baseball Win 2; Haugen Reaches Milestone
The St. John's baseball team won a pair of games in MIAC play Wednesday in Northfield against Carleton 7-5 and 3-2. In game 1 Connor Cline was 3-4 with 1 RBI and Max Foster drove in a pair of runs for the Johnnies. Connor Cline threw 6 innings with 6 hits and 2 earned runs to get the win. St. John's head coach Jerry Haugen reaches win #650 in his career.

St. Cloud Rox Add 11 Players
The St. Cloud Rox added 11 players to the 2012 roster Wednesday. The players are St. Cloud State's Phil Imholte and Garrett Anderson, Nebraska lefthanded pitcher Zach Hirsch, Minnesota infielder Tony Skjefte, Minnesota righthanded pitcher Ben Meyer, Creighton righthander Andy Urban, Wayne State pitcher Tadd Johnson, California righthander Keaton Siomkin, California infielder Chris Paul, and Ohio catcher J.R. Reynolds. Hirsch, Urban, Johnson and Reynolds played for the St. Cloud River Bats in 2011.
