Twins Beat Verlander, Tigers 2-1 on Friday
DETROIT - The Minnesota Twins narrowly defeated Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers 2-1 on Friday night at Comerica Park.
Kurt Suzuki came up big for the Twins again, hitting a two run single off of Verlander in the seventh inning. Suzuki now has 24 RBIs this season.
Phil Hughes picked up his fourth win in a row, pitching seven scoreless innings and striking out three.
