St. Cloud State Women's Basketball

The Gopher women's basketball team defeated St. Cloud State in exhibition play 86-51 Wednesday night at Williams Arena. Kiara Buford led the Gophers with 14 points and freshman Rachel Banham added 11 points and 6 assists. Jessica Benson led the Huskies with 9 points.

St. Cloud State senior guard Talisha Barlow has been named the NSIC player of the week for her efforts this past week. Barlow led the Huskies to 2 wins at MSU-Mankato Friday night where she scored 19 points and a 78-76 double overtime win at Southwest MN State in Marshall Saturday night.

The St. Cloud State women's basketball team lost 57-52 at home against Winona State Sunday afternoon. The Huskies shot just 32 percent from the field while Winona State shot 51 percent.

The St. Cloud State women's basketball team lost at #16 Augustana Monday night. The game was played Monday because of winter weather in Sioux Falls, South Dakota Saturday.
