Rox Walk Off In Eleventh Inning Wednesday

The Rox won on a walk off single from Blake Headley in the bottom of the eleventh inning Wednesday night, with the final score 8-7 at Joe Faber Field.

Adam Maxon got the win for St. Cloud, who is now 12-16 on the season.

The St. Cloud Rox signed 3 players to join the team for the 2013 season. The 3 players are University of California freshman outfielder Devin Pearson and California freshman pitcher Jordan Talbot and St. Cloud State sophomore outfielder Eric Loxtercamp.

Rox Announce 2013 Schedule

The St. Cloud Rox announced their 2013 schedule Monday night. The Rox will open at the Waterloo Bucks on May 29 before hosting Thunder Bay in their home opener on May 31. The Northwoods League in 2013 will play 2 inter-division series.

The St. Cloud Rox announced the return of 4 players for the 2013 season. The four returnees are right-handed pitchers Ty Jackson (Washington State) and Adam Maxon (Jacksonville), junior catcher Adam Martin (Western Carolina) and reshirt freshman 3rd baseman Nick Tanielu (Washington State).

St. Cloud Rox Agree to Radio Deal With 1390-the Fan/TSM

The St. Cloud Rox and AM 1390-the Fan are announcing a 3-year contract agreement. The Rox and Townsquare Media struck the deal Tuesday afternoon that extends through the 2015 season. Rox Vice President Scott Schriener says "The entire St. Cloud Rox organization is thrilled to have AM 1390-the Fan be the official radio play-by-play partner of Rox Baseball through the 2015 season."

Rox Bringing Back Manager, Rodriguez

The St. Cloud Rox are bringing back field manager Augie Rodriguez for a 3rd year in St. Cloud. Rodriguez spent one season as field manager of the St. Cloud River Bats before managing the Rox in 2012. The Rox were 29-41 overall this past season but were 20-16 in the 2nd half of the season.

Rox Season Closes With Loss to Rochester

The Rox ended their first season with a 6-0 loss on the road at Rochester Sunday afternoon. Rochester scored 5 runs in the 7th inning after taking a 1-0 lead in the 1st. Andy Henkemeyer and Tony Skjefte each went 1-3 for the Rox. St. Cloud managed just 3 hits in the game. Lucas Long threw 5 innings with 5 hits and 1 earned run allowed to take the loss.
