Rocori Falls Short against Detroit Lakes in Fargo

The Rocori football team lost 29-28 at the Fargodome Thursday night. Detroit Lakes went out to a 29-0 lead at halftime before Rocori can storming back in the 2nd half. Rocori got on the board in the 2nd half with a Alex Austad 7-yard touchdown run. The 2-point conversion failed and Rocori trailed 29-6.

The Rocori football team will play Detroit Lakes at the Fargodome in the section 8-4A Finals tonight at 8pm, pregame on WJON at 7:45. Seth Toupal and Tyler Gruber call the action. Rocori is 6-3 after welcoming quarterback Mac Mueller back last week in a 31-13 win over 3rd seeded Fergus Falls

Prep Football Results; Rocori Tops Tech 26-13; Peterson Breaks His Fibula

Rocori 26, Tech 13
(Rocori outscored Tech 20-0 in the 2nd half after trailing 13-6 at halftime. Alex Austad ran for 87 yards on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns for Rocori. Brad Fabel threw a 29-yards touchdown pass to Derek Kuechle in the first half. Jacob Peterson was held to 50 yards rushing on 17 carries with a 22-yard touchdown run. Peterson injured his right leg on the last play of the first half and did not return to the game.

High School Football Preview Week 8; Rocori at Tech [AUDIO]

The High School Football regular season comes to a close tonight throughout the area. The matchups include Rocori (4-3) at Tech (3-4) at Husky Stadium at SCSU at 7pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:45. Both teams have lost 3 games in a row. Rocori is playing without starting quarterback Mac Mueller who is out with a separated shoulder. Junior Brad Fabel has been starting in place of Mueller.

High School Football Preview; Sartell at Tech [Predictions]

Week 6 of the High School Football season is tonight. The games on the schedule include Sartell-St. Stephen (4-1) at Tech (3-2) at St. Cloud State's Husky Stadium. The winner of this game will likely be the #2 seed in Section 85A behind top seeded Moorhead. Tech lost 48-40 at home against Moorhead last Friday. Sartell was ranked #10 in the State in Class 5A last week before losing to Fergus Falls.

Rocori’s Mueller Out For the Season; Stone Commits to SCSU

Rocori quarterback Mac Mueller is lost for the season for Rocori. Mueller separated his shoulder when tackled on a punt return against Sauk Rapids-Rice Saturday during Rocori's homecoming game. Mueller was the leading rusher and passer for Rocori this season and is a devastating loss for Rocori.

High School Football Tonight; (Predictions)

The High School Football season continues with week 2. I admittedly underestimated Rocori last week. The Spartans pounded Brainerd in Brainerd to avenge the only loss they suffered in 2011. Rocori will host Alexandria Friday night at 7pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:45. Get a complete recap of high school football on St. Cloud Sports Saturday from 8-9am with Emmett Keenan. All area coaches are expected to appear on the program.

High School Football Preview; Rocori Spartans (Audio)

The Rocori Spartans are the defending Class 4A State champs after defeating Bemidji 17-10 in the Prep Bowl in 2011. Rocori returns some key players but lost alot of talent from their state championship team. Quarterback Nate Meyer is playing college football at South Dakota State and Mac Mueller is set to replace him at quarterback.
