The Timberwolves won 93-72 at Washington Sunday afternoon. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 20 points and 16 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 13 points and 14 assists. Minnesota shot 45 percent from the field while Washington shot just 34 percent. The Wolves improve to 3-5. Washington remains winless.

The Timberwolves fell to 2-5 on the season after a 98-87 loss at home to Cleveland. Antwan Jamison led the Cavs with 22 points and Kyrie Irving added 14 points for Cleveland. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 29 points and 12 rebounds and Derrick Williams added 12 points off the bench.

The Timberwolves lost 90-86 at home to Memphis Wednesday night to snap their 2-game winning streak. The Wolves fell behind 15-0 before making a comeback. The Timberwolves lost 98-95 at Milwaukee Tuesday night to fall to 0-2 on the season. Minnesota trailed by more than 20 points but Kevin Love's missed 3-point shot at the buzzer would have forced overtime. Love led the Wolves with 31 points and 20 rebounds and Luke Ridnour added 17 points.

The Timberwolves made the game interesting but lost 104-100 at home to Oklahoma City Monday night in their regular season opener. Michael Beasley led the Wolves with 24 points, Kevin Love added 22 points and 12 rebounds and J.J. Barea added 14 points off the bench. Rookie Derrick Williams added 13 points in 24 minutes and Ricky Rubio played 26 minutes added scored 6 points with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Timberwolves Cut Bonzi Wells

The Timberwolves waived shooting guard Bonzi Wells Friday. Wells is a 6'5 35-year old shooting guard who hadn't played in the NBA since 2008. He played with coach Rick Adelman in Portland. Wells scored a combined 4 points in the 2 Timberwolves preseason games. The Wolves have 15 players since to guaranteed contract and it seemed unlikely that Wells would make the team.

The Timberwolves won 85-84 at Milwaukee in preseason play Wednesday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 22 points and 16 rebounds and Michael Beasley added 12 points. Beasley made 2 free throws with 9.1 seconds left to help the Wolves to the win. Minnesota shot 41 percent while Milwaukee shot 43 percent.

Rubio and Barea Won’t Play Tonight For Wolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play tonight without guard Ricky Rubio and J.J. Barrea. Both have minor injuries and didn't make the trip to Milwaukee to play the Bucks tonight. Rubio has a sprained right ankle while Barrea has a bruised thigh. Rubio says he'll be fine to play the regular season opener against Oklahoma City Monday night.

T-Wolves Win Preseason Game In Rubio Debut

The Timberwolves won their preseason opener at Target Center Saturday night 117-96 over Milwaukee. Kevin Love and Michael Beasley each scored 21 points to lead the Wolves. Rookie Derrick Williams had 14 points including shooting 3 for 4 from 3-point range. Free agent signee J.J. Barea added 14 points for Minnesota and rookie Ricky Rubio added 6 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
