March 30, 2012 The Granite City Lumberjacks play in the Tier 3 NA3HL final four in Geneva, Illinois today through Sunday. They are guaranteed 3 games and could play a 4th if they qualify for the finals. The Lumberjacks play at 4:30 today against St. Louis, tomorrow against Toledo at 4:30 and Sunday against Flint at 5:30. The championship game will be Monday.
March 26, 2012 The Granite City Lumberjacks downed the North Iowa Bulls 3-2 Sunday night at Sports Arena East in Sauk Rapids to advance to the NA3HL Final Four in Geneva, Illinois next weekend. Peter Lindblad scored 2 goals and Matt Grove had 26 saves for Granite City. The Lumberjacks win the series 2 games to 1.
March 23, 2012 The Granite City Lumberjacks downed the North Iowa Bulls 2-1 in overtime Thursday night in game 1 of the NA3HL West Division Championship series. Riley Bengston scored the game-winning goal in overtime and Trevor Ness scored in regulation for the Lumberjacks. Game 2 of the best of 3 series will take place tonight at Sports Arena East in Sauk Rapids at 7:30.
