SCSU Volleyball Opens With 3-1 Weekend

The St. Cloud State Volleyball team got their season off to a fast start over the weekend by posting a 3-1 record in matches played in Springfield, Missouri. The Huskies won three straight matches after dropping their season opener on Friday.

Drury topped SCSU 3-2 (21-25, 25-10, 25-18, 19-25, 18-16) in the Friday night opener. Ellie Dietzen led the Huskies with 11 kills in the loss.

SCSU beat Union Saturday morning 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-22) to move to 2-1 on the season. Dietzen posted 12 kills to again lead SCSU.

The Huskies wrapped up the weekend with a 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-20, 25-22) win over Lindenwood. Dietzen led the team with 19 kills.

The Huskies bounced back with a 3-1 (25-19, 17-25, 25-15, 25-20) win over Arkansas Tech. Dani Domeier paced SCSU with 14 kills in the win.
