The St. Cloud State Husky men's hockey team split their series with then-#1 Minnesota this past weekend at the NHEC. Head coach Bob Motzko checked in with Lee Voss and Dave Overlund Tuesday during the Granite City Cafe Show (12-2, M-F) on AM 1390 The Fan.

Coach Motzko said that the atmosphere over the weekend rivaled any other that he has seen in college hockey during his career. Motzko gave credit to the St. Cloud fans for drowning out the MInnesota fans who had made the trip up Interstate 94 to see the game.

Motzko says that team captain Drew LeBlanc has been outstanding this season, but he (along with Drew's family) would like to see him use what he calls a "great shot" a little more often. Motzko cited LeBlanc's two-goal weekend as evidence of his potential as a scorer.
