NHL Draft Tonight; Wild Pick #10

The NHL Draft will be held tonight and tomorrow at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.  The Wild have the 10th overall pick in the first round in tonight's draft.  Minnesota has 6 picks in the 7-round draft. The Wild don't have a 2nd rounder and have 1 pick in the remaining 6 rounds.  Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher says this is a deep draft class.

St. Cloud State signee defenseman Jarrod Rabay expects to be taken somewhere between the 3rd and 5th rounds.

The NHL released their 2011-2012 schedule Thursday and the Wild will open the season with new head coach Mike Yeo October 8 against Columbus at home.
