Gopher senior forward Trevor Mbakwe is reportedly done for the season with a torn ACL in his right knee.  The injury was suffered Sunday night when the team played in Orlando, Florida in the Old Spice Classic Championship game against Dayton.  Mbakwe layed on the court before he was assisted off the court without putting any pressure on the knee.

He is the their leading scorer averaging 14.1 points and rebounder averaging 9.1 rebounds a game.  He  was named as one of 50 top college basketball players on the John Wooden Watch list.  The Gophers will have to play without Mbakwe when they host Virginia Tech at 8:15 Wednesday night, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 7:45.
