Fletcher Pulls Plug On Richards To Save Himself
The Minnesota Wild fired head coach Todd Richards Monday. General Manager Chuck Fletcher may have bought himself some more time with this decision. Richards and Fletcher were each hired 2 years ago and both have spent the last 2 seasons missing the playoffs and not making a noticeable improvement. The Wild still don't have enough goal scorers and don't seem to be building top talent in the minor leagues. A lack of up-and-coming talent falls on Fletcher and a lack of goal scorers falls on Fletcher. Richards may not have done a great job with what he had but no one would say they had a load of talent. Fletcher needs to find some offense soon before it will be his job that is terminated next.
