The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 5-3 Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. The loss gets Chicago within five points of first-place Minnesota in the Western Conference standings.

After a scoreless first period Chicago got on the board first with a Jonathan Toews goal less than a minute into the second period. Mikael Granlund tied the game at 4:20 of the second, but the Hawks scored again late in the period and didn't look back.

The Wild are off until Monday night when they host the Los Angeles Kings at Xcel Energy Center to conclude their eight game home stand.
