The St. Cloud State men's hockey returns to action Saturday when they host Minnesota-Duluth at 6pm, pregame on River 96.7 at 5:30. The Huskies will host UMD Sunday at 4pm, pregame on River 96.7 at 3:30. The Huskies are 6-3 and ranked #6 in the latest USCHO.com poll while UMD is ranked #4 in the poll.
Viking running back Dalvin Cook and rookie receiver Justin Jefferson were both named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster Monday. Cook is 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,484 and 15 rushing touchdowns to go along with 42 catches for 349 yards and 1 touchdown. Jefferson has 73 catches for 1,182 yards and 7 touchdowns so far this season.
The Gopher men's basketball team won 90-82 at home against St. Louis Sunday night. Minnesota made 10 3-pointers and 34 free throws on 41 attempts. The Gophers led by just 2 at halftime and had to hold off the scrappy Billikens.
The 9th ranked St. Cloud State men's hockey team won 3-1 against #7 Denver in Omaha Sunday to improve to 6-3. The Huskies fell behind 1-0 in the 2nd period before they got a goal from Kyler Kupka to tie the game. Veeti Miettinen broke the 1-all tie with a power play goal midway through the 3rd period.
The Vikings came from behind to defeat the Carolina Panthers at U.S. Bank Stadium 28-27. The Vikings outscored the Panthers 18-6 in the 4th quarter and went ahead on a Kirk Cousins to Chad Beebe 10-yard touchdown pass with :46 seconds left.

The Twins are back to back American League Central Division champs after the White Sox lost to the Cubs Sunday. The Twins lost 5-3 in 10 innings to the Reds Sunday but finish the regular season 36-24 and will head into the American League Wildcard playoffs as the #3 seed.
