The Oklahoma City Thunder overwhelmed the Timberwolves 127-111 at Chesapeake Energy Arena Friday. Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 37 points.

OKC (40-15) led the Wolves (20-32) 66-57 at the half, then put up 34 points in the third to increase the advantage to 100-82 after three quarters. The closest the Wolves got to the Thunder was 87-79 with about 2:30 left in the third quarter.

Alexey Shved led seven Timberwolves in double figures with 17 points. Ricky Rubio had 13 points, five boards, nine assists and five steals.

The Wolves will host the Warriors in a Sunday matinee at Target Center.
