The Minnesota Timberwolves used a big first half to pace a 120-109 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night at Target Center. The Wolves led the Blazers 69-43 at the half.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love was one assist shy of a triple double while adding 29 points and 15 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic led Minnesota with 30 points on 14-19 shooting.

Damian Lillard had 36 points for Portland on 13-24 shooting, including 7-14 from three point range.

The Timberwolves will take on the Los Angeles Lakers late Friday night.
