Wolves Face Pivotal Test In Phoenix Tuesday Night
The Minnesota Timberwolves are clinging to their playoff lives tonight when they visit one of the two teams they are chasing in the standings in the Phoenix Suns (7:30 PM, WJON).
Minnesota is 27-29 this season, 6.5 games behind the Suns for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Timberwolves saw their modest three-game winning streak snapped on Sunday night in a 108-97 loss at Portland.
Phoenix continues to be one of the biggest surprises in the NBA by exceeding modest expectations to post a 33-22 record on the season. The Suns suffered a 115-112 loss to Houston Sunday night.
