The Minnesota Timberwolves lost for the eleventh time in twelve games Friday night 111-100 against the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center.

The Lakers (21-26) put up 37 points in the first quarter and never looked back in taking a 68-53 lead into the half. The Wolves (17-26) cleaned it up defensively in the second half, holding LA to 17 points in the third quarter, but the deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

Alexey  Shved led the Wolves with 18 points off the bench, and Derrick Williams contributed 15 points from the forward position.

The Lakers were led by Paul Gasol with 22 points.

The Wolves are right back at it Saturday night when they take on New Orleans at Target Center.
