The Timberwolves reportedly have reached an agreement on a rookie contract with point guard Ricky Rubio of Spain.  The 5th overall pick in the 2009 draft was considered the 3rd best player in that draft class behind Blake Griffin and Hasheem Thabeet.  Thabeet hasn't worked out but Griffin had a great season this past year.  Rubio's numbers haven't improved over the past 2 seasons playing in Europe for Barcelona.  He is only averaging 6.5 points and 3.5 assists a game and has been coming off the bench.  The Timberwolves are better with Rubio than without him.  He will bring some excitement with his highlight passes and fans should come out to see what he's about.  He will probably stuggled on defense and shooting the ball.  If he doesn't improve in those areas he won't be a star.
