The Minnesota Wild made a last second splash at the trade deadline on Wednesday afternoon.

The Minnesota Wild have acquired veteran right wing Jason Pominville in exchange for prospects Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett, a first round pick in 2013 and a second round pick in 2014.

Pominville, 30, has ten goals and 15 assists on the season in 37 games. He has been in Buffalo, where he is team captain, since 2003. He has 456 points in 578 NHL games.

Larsson, 20, is in his first year in the United States after playing professionally in Sweden since 2005. He did not tally a point in one game with the Wild earlier this season.

Hackett, 22, was drafted in 2009 and was immediately tabbed as the Wild goalie of the future. In two stints with the Wild, Hackett was 3-7 with a 2.63 goals allowed average.
