The Minnesota Wild earned their eighth straight road win by topping the Nashville Predators 3-2 on Tuesday night. The Wild now have 85 points on the season and remain in the top wild card spot for the playoffs.

Charlie Coyle gave the Wild a 1-0 lead by sweeping a trickling puck past Preds goaltender Pekka Rinne with less than a minute left in the first period. Nashville took a 2-1 lead with goals less than a minute apart in the second period.

Coyle struck again with a slap shot goal with just over six minutes left in regulation, and Matt Dumba ended the game with a slapper off of a drop pass from Zach Parise less than a minute into the overtime period.

The Wild host former Cathedral standout Nate Schmidt and the Washington Capitals on Thursday night.
