The Wild started flat but finished strong in a 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Xcel Energy Center Thursday night. Minnesota is now 4-1-1 on the season, while Columbus falls to 0-8.

Zach Parise's sixth goal of the season five minutes into the first period gave the Wild a 1-0 lead, but Minnesota surrendered a pair of goals late in the period and trailed 2-1 heading into the first intermission. The Wild were outshot 13-6 in the first period.

Minnesota scored a pair of goals in the second period, with Nino Niederreiter and Thomas Vanek scoring to give the Wild a 3-2 lead. Neither team scored in the third period.

The Wild host Anaheim Saturday evening at 5 p.m. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with the pregame show at 4:45.
