Cal Clutterbuck gave the Wild an early lead but Minnesota couldn't find the back of the net again in an overtime loss.

The Chicago Blackhawks topped the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in overtime Tuesday in game one of the Western Conference Quarterfinals in Chicago. Wild goalie Josh Harding made 35 saves, starting after Niklas Backstrom was injured in warmups.

Cal Clutterbuck scored for the Wild at 4:48 of the opening period to give Minnesota a 1-0 lead. Clayton Stoner was given an assist on the play.

A Marion Hossa power play goal early in the second period tied the game for Chicago at one, and that would remain the score until late in the overtime period.

Bryan Bickell deked goaltender Josh Harding and beat him on the forehand to finish a two-on-one rush and give Chicago the 1-0 series lead with just over three minutes remaining in overtime.

The Wild and Blackhawks will play game two at United Center in Chicago at 8:30 on Friday night (AM 1390-The Fan).
