The Minnesota Wild earned perhaps their most impressive win of the season Tuesday night with a 4-2 win at Anaheim. The loss was just the second at home on the entire season for the Ducks.

The Wild struck first on a Jason Pominville goal at 7:57 of the first period, his 21st of the season. The Ducks would tie the game with just over a minute remaining in the period for a 1-1 tie at the first intermission.  Each team had 11 shots on goal through one.

Mikael Granlund’s power play goal at :13 of the second period gave the Wild a 2-1 lead in the locker room after two periods. Minnesota outshot Anaheim 11-4 in the second period.

Zach Parise scored a goal to go with his two assists on the night at 6:35 of the third period to give the Wild a 3-1 lead, and Erik Haula capped the scoring for Minnesota with a goal at 8:21.

Darcy Kuemper was outstanding in goal for the Wild, making 31 saves including 17 saves in the third period.

The Wild leapfrogged the Canucks for seventh place in the Western Conference with the win.
