The Minnesota Wild passed their first post-Olympic break test with a 3-0 win over Edmonton at Rexall Place Thursday night. Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper made 21 saves to record the shutout.

Minnesota scored a single goal in each period, with Mikael Granlund getting the first tally at 2:04 of the first period. Stephane Veilleux added his second goal of the season at 9:37 of the second period and Dany Heatley capped the scoring halfway through the third.

The Wild play at Vancouver at 9 PM on Friday night (8:30 PM, AM 1390 The Fan).
