SALT LAKE CITY -- Fighting for a spot in the playoffs the Utah Jazz proved to be too much for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they pull out the victory 98-85 last (Friday) night.

Utah Forward Gordon Hayward scored 22 points and center Rudy Gobert added 10 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

Andrew Wiggins paced Minnesota with 24 points, while teammate Karl-Anthony Towns poured in 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Jazz pulled away early with a strong start and the wolves never got closer than nine points in the fourth quarter.

The Jazz are tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the final two Western Conference Playoff spots.

Minnesota is 25-51 on the season and will face the Mavericks Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Target Center.
