The Twins lost 12-5 at home to the Chicago White Sox Wednesday night.  Nick Blackburn allowed 9 hits and 6 earned runs in 5 innings to take the loss and drop to 4-5.  Jeff Manship allowed 3 earned runs in 1 inning.  He was optioned to triple-A Rochester after the game.  His ERA is 10.97.  Darin Mastroianni hit a 2-run homerun and Brian Dozier went 1-3 with a solo homerun and 2 RBIs for Minnesota.  Adam Dunn hit a 3-run homerun for the White Sox.

The Twins are 30-44 and have the day off today.  Minnesota will start a 3-game series at 7:10 Friday night, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Lefthander Brian Duensing (1-3) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Luis Mendoza (2-4) toes the rubber for the Royals.
