Weekend Recap; SCSU Football Upset, St. John’s Wins

SCSU Athletics

College Football: (Saturday)

Bemidji State 19, #6 St. Cloud State 14
(Phil Klaphake ran for 101 yards and threw for 182 and a touchdown for the Huskies.  SCSU is 8-2 and will host Minnesota State-Moorhead Saturday at 1pm in their final regular season game)

St. John’s 27, #19 St. Olaf 24
(Stephen Johnson ran for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Johnnies.  St. John’s is 5-4 and will close the season at Hamline this Saturday at 1pm)

#17 Michigan State 31, Gophers 24
(Marqueis Gray threw for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns and Da’Jon McKnight had 9 catches for 173 yards and 3 touchdowns for Minnesota.  The Gophers are 2-7 and will host Wisconsin at 2:30 Saturday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30)

Men’s College Hockey:

St. Cloud State 7, Wisconsin 2 (Friday)
St. Cloud State 3, Wisconsin 3 (overtime tie) (Saturday)
(SCSU is 4-4-2 and will play at Minnesota State-Mankato Friday and Saturday nights)
