Vikings Win At Carolina 24-21
The Vikings earned their 2nd win of the season and their first road win 24-21 at Carolina Sunday afternoon. Minnesota got a 31-yard field goal from Ryan Longwell with 2:43 left to break a 21-all tie with Carolina. The Panthers had a chance to tie the game with :26 left when Olindo Mare missed a 31-yard field goal wide left.
Adrian Peterson had a big day for the Vikings running for 86 yards and a touchdown and catching 5 passes for 76 yards and another touchdown for Minnesota. Percy Harvin had a rushing touchdown in the first half and had 4 catches for 58 yards. Christian Ponder was 18-28 passing for 236 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions. Cam Newton was 22-35 passing for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss for the Panthers.
