Viking running back Adrian Peterson could return to the field Sunday against Jacksonville but no decision has been made yet.  Viking head coach Leslie Frazier says if Peterson does play it will be with limited exposure.  Frazier says a decision on Peterson could go all the way up to game-time.  Peterson has been working his way back from a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee.  Peterson sustained the injuries against Washington on December 24 of 2011.

Toby Gerhart is expected to carry the bulk of the load at running back for the Vikings on Sunday.  Gerhart started the first 3 preseason games and looked good for the Vikings.

Jacksonville welcomed back Maurice Jones-Drew to practice Monday after a 38-day holdout.  Jones-Drew is expected to be used as a backup to starter Rashad Jennings and will be used as a 3rd down back as well.

The Vikings host Jacksonville at noon Sunday, pregame on WJON at 11am.  The Vikings are 4-point favorites against the Jaguars.
