Viking head coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday that running back Adrian Peterson is still on track to play when the regular season begins on September 9 at home against Jacksonville.  Frazier says he'd like to see Peterson see action in practice and carries in a preseason game before he's cleared to play in the regular season.

Frazier says the doctors are telling him that Peterson is on track to play week 1.  Peterson says his surgically repaired left knee is ready to take a hit.  Peterson will not play in the Vikings preseason opener at San Francisco Friday night at 8pm.
