MINNEAPOLIS -- After having no players selected to the Pro Bowl, the Minnesota Vikings were also left out of the All-Pro teams today.

Defensive end Everson Griffen and safety Harrison Smith were considered to be favorites to land on the yearly-honored list compiled by the Associated Press which were announced today.

Griffen finished the season with 12 sacks while Smith tallied three sacks of his own to go along with five interceptions, but neither were selected to the first- or second-team All Pro rosters.

This will mark the first time in four years that the Vikings will not have a player selected on the All-Pro team after being shutout of the Pro Bowl for the first time since 1983.

The Vikings and Chicago Bears are the only NFC teams to not have any players honored.

Griffen and Smith still may be able to go to the Pro Bowl as alternates or substitutes for players who opt out of the exhibition game.
