The Vikings cut 3 players Thursday but none of them were receiver Bernard Berrian.  Berrian was signed to a big contract 3 years ago but his statistics have gone down each year he's been here while is salary has gone up.  He is due to make more than $6 Million this season.  The Vikings didn't re-sign free agent receiver Sidney Rice but could still improve their receiving corp by signing 1 or more of the following free agents:  Braylon Edwards (Jets), Malcolm Floyd (Chargers), or James Jones (Packers).

All 3 are biggest targets than Berrian and have proven to be better downfield threats than Berrian.  Berrian has also had a history of missing games because of minor injuries.  Percy Harvin is the #1 receiver for the Vikings but is most effective playing from the slot.  The signing of Devin Aromashadu is probably not the answer.
