Vikings Have To Fix Offensive Line
The Vikings took a step in the right direction releasing left tackle Bryant McKinnie earlier this month. The bad thing is new left tackle Charlie Johnson doesn’t appear to be a stellar replacement. The Vikings offensive line against Tennessee looked bad throughout the game. Steve Hutchinson doesn’t appear to be the same player he has been, Phil Loadholt still struggles against the pass rush, John Sullivan get pushed back into the quarterback too often and we don’t know if Anthony Herrera will be healthy enough to hold down the right guard spot.
The Vikings will likely be focusing on drafting a left tackle high in next year’s draft especially with a young quarterback like Christian Ponder likely to see action next season.
The Vikings are less than $1 Million under the cap and afford to sign veteran free agent tackle that get cut at this time. 31 year old Jon Stinchcomb was released earlier this week.
