MINNEAPOLIS - Blair Walsh kicked a 34-yard field goal in an epic overtime to give the Minnesota Vikings a 23-20 victory over the Chicago Bears today.

Both teams missed field goals in overtime. Walsh missed a 57-yard attempt after Rhett Ellison was given a 15 yard face-mask penalty to cancel a 39 yard field goal that Walsh originally made. Robbie Gould then missed a potential game winning 47 yard field goal for the Bears.

Adrian Peterson became the third fastest to reach 10,000 career rushing yards during the game. Peterson finished with 211 yards off of 35 carries. Greg Jennings had seven receptions and a touchdown for Minnesota.

Quarterback Christian Ponder exited the game in the first half due to concussion symptoms. Matt Cassel had a great game in relief for the Vikings, finishing 20/33 for 243 yards and a touchdown.

The Vikings improve to 3-8-1 this season, they travel to Baltimore next week to take on the Ravens. Game time is set for noon on Sunday.
