Vikings Come Back to Win Thriller in Chicago

CHICAGO -- The Minnesota Vikings scored 10 points in the final two minutes -- including a last-second field goal -- to beat the Chicago Bears 23-20 on Sunday.

The Vikings trailed 20-13 late in the game with their only touchdown coming on a 65-yard punt return by Marcus Sherels.

Adrian Peterson ran through the Bears defense all day long but the rest of the offense sputtered with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater being erratic -- overthrowing Mike Wallace twice for would-be touchdowns.

All of that on top of the fact that the Vikings haven't won at Soldier Field since 2007 -- Adrian Peterson's rookie year -- and things didn't look good for the purple.

That all changed when Bridgewater hit rookie Stefon Diggs on a third down conversion. Chicago defensive back Kyle Fuller slipped and fell down on the play allowing Diggs to race 40 yards for a game-tying touchdown.

The Bears offense took the field with 1:49 to play, but a key third down drop by rookie running back Jeremy Langford forced Chicago to punt the ball back to the Vikings.

Receiver Charles Johnson went up and came down with a 35-yard catch near the sideline  with under a minute remaining. Two plays later, Blair Walsh connected on his third field goal of the day -- a 36-yarder with time expiring to give Minnesota the dramatic victory.

With the win, the Vikings have won three straight to improve to 5-2 on the season. Minnesota will host the St. Louis Rams next Sunday at noon.
