The MInnesota Twins evened their four game series with the Boston Red Sox with a 6-1 win Tuesday night. Scott Diamond shut out the Red Sox for seven innings and only allowed three hits to earn the win.

The game was scoreless until Wilkin Ramirez singled home Ryan Doumit for a 1-0 Twins lead in the top of the fifth. The eventual game-winning run was scored on a Doumit home run in the top of the seventh.

Minnesota tacked on four more runs in the eighth inning of of the Boston bullpen. A Jared Saltalamacchia home run in the ninth made the score 6-1 and broke up the shutout.

The Twins are 14-15 on the season and will play at Boston Wednesday and Thursday before coming home for a weekend series.
