The Twins have traded center fielder Aaron Hicks to the New York Yankees for catcher John Ryan Murphy.  Hicks batted .256 with 11 homeruns, 33 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 352 at bats in 2015.  The 26-year old was the 14th overall pick in the first round by the Twins in 2008.

John Ryan Murphy is a 5'11, 205 pound 24-year old catcher who batted .277 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs with the Yankees in 2015.  He was a 2009 2nd round pick of the Yankees.

Murphy could project as a long-term option at the catcher position. With Hicks being traded to the Yankees, Byron Buxton should become the opening day Center Fielder.
