MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins kept the game close until the Indians blew the game open on one swing of the bat.

Cleveland designated hitter Yan Gomes was the hero for the Indians, finishing the game with four RBI - including a three-run homer in the fifth.

That home run knocked Twins starter Trevor May out of the game after allowing seven runs on eight hits in only 4 2/3 innings.

The rookie has struggled since being called up, dropping to 3-5 with an ERA of 8.39.

The Twins would add one more run late in the game as Brian Dozier blasted his 21st home run of the season.

With the loss, Minnesota drops to 66-88 on the season and will send Anthony Swarzak to the mound to take on the Indians at 1:00 p.m. today.
