The Twins won 10-4 in the afternoon and 2-1 in 10 innings Sunday night to sweep a day/night doubleheader.  Scott Diamond threw 7 innings with 4 hits and 2 earned runs allowed in the first game and gets the win to improve to 12-8.  Joe Mauer was 3-4 with a run scored and 4 RBIs and Ben Revere was 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI for the Twins.

In game 2 Jamey Carroll hit the game-winning RBI single in the 10th inning.  Justin Morneau added 2 hits.  Jared Burton threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the win and Glen Perkins threw a scoreless 10th inning for his 14th save.  P.J. Walters started the game and threw 6 innings with 5 hits and 1 earned run allowed for Minnesota.

The Twins are 64-89 and will host the New York Yankees beginning a 3-game series tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Liam Hendriks (1-7) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Andy Pettitte (4-3) toes the rubber for the Yankees.
