The Twins topped the White Sox 4-3 Sunday at Target Field to salvage a four game series with their division rivals.

Danny Santana and Sam Fuld combined to go 3-6 with four runs batted in from the top of the order to pace the offense.  The rest of the team managed just three hits.

Yohan Pino did not allow a hit until the fifth inning, but then ran out of gas in the sixth and earned a no-decision. He ended up allowing two runs on four hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

The Twins are now 47-57 on the season and trail Detroit by 11 games in the Central Division, and now are eight games out of a wild card spot.

Minnesota returns to action on Tuesday at Kansas City. James Shields will start for the Royals against the Twins’ Kyle Gibson.
