The Twins scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning to beat Texas 9-8 Tuesday night.  Joe Mauer had the pinch-hit RBI double to score the go-ahead run in the 9th.  Tsuyoshi Nishioka had 2 RBIs including the game-tying RBI in the 9th.  Ben Revere and Delmon Young were each 2-4 with a run scored for Minnesota.  Glen Perkins threw a scoreless 8th inning to get the win to improve to 3-1 and Joe Nathan threw a scoreless 9th inning to grab his 8th save.  Nathan also tied Rick Aguilera for the most saves in Twins history.

The Twins are 48-55 and remain 7 games back of Detroit for first place in the American League Central.  Minnesota plays at Texas again tonight at 7:05, pregame on WJON at 6:35.  Lefthander Brian Duensing (7-8) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Colby Lewis (10-7) toes the rubber for the Rangers.
