MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth in a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

The Twins continued to struggle offensively for much of the game, managing only four hits and one run against Mariners starter Mike Montgomery.

But Twins starter Kyle Gibson kept Minnesota in the game with a good outing of his own -- allowing two runs on six hits through seven innings.

Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Shane Robinson scored the tying run and Eddie Rosario moved to scoring position following a wild pitch by Seattle closer Carson Smith.

Kurt Suzuki then bounced a 3-1 pitch into left field, scoring Rosario and winning the game for the Twins.

With the win, Minnesota improves to 54-49 on the season. The final game of the four-game series against the Mariners is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. today.

Mike Pelfrey (5-7) will take the mound for the Twins against Hisashi Iwakuma (2-2) and the Mariners.
