The Twins and relief pitcher Glen Perkins have agreed to terms on a 1-year contract worth $1.55 Million to avoid salary arbitration.  The Twins and starting pitcher Francisco Liriano have agreed to terms on a 1-year $5.55 Million contract.

Perkins was 4-4 with a 2.48 ERA in 61 2/3 innings for the Twins in 2011.  Perkins also had 2 saves.  Perkins is expected to work late inning for the Twins again in 2012.  Matt Capps is expected to be the closer but Perkins could be the setup man.

Liriano was 9-10 with a 5.09 ERA in 134 1/3 innings in 2011.  Liriano is expected to remain in the Twins starting rotation in 2012.
