Twins, Pavano Beat White Sox 4-1
The Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 4-1 Wednesday night to win their 10th game in their last 12. Carl Pavano threw all 9 innings with 6 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win and improve to 4-5. Pavano had 5 strikeouts allowed 3 walks. Michael Cuddyer was 2-3 with 3 stolen bases and 2 runs scored and Delmon Young had a 2-run single for the Twins. Both Alexi Casilla and Ben Revere were each 2-4 and both had a run scored. The Twins are 27-39 and are 9 games back of both Cleveland and Detroit for first place in the American League Central. The Twins host the White Sox again today at 12:10, pregame on WJON at 11:40. Righthander Nick Blackburn (5-4) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Mark Buehrle (6-4) toes the rubber for the White Sox.
