The Twins are reportedly looking at free agent pitchers at the baseball Winter Meetings in Nashville this week.  The pitchers that appear to be on the radar are righthanders Brandon McCarthy (Oakland), Kevin Correia (Pittsburgh), Joe Blanton (LA Dodgers), Brett Meyers (White Sox), and lefthander John Lannon (Washington).

Twins General Manager Terry Ryan has said many times that the Twins are focusing on starting pitching in free agency but could also sign a third baseman to compete with Trevor Plouffe at that position.

The Twins traded centerfielder Denard Span to Washington for 6'9 righthanded pitcher Alex Meyer.  The Twins could also look to trade first baseman Justin Morneau and outfielders Ben Revere and Josh Willingham.
